Thanks for tuning into another episode of The Certified Platinum Show. This week, we dedicate our episode to Earl Simmons (DMX), who is reportedly in critical condition (at the time of recording). DMX is an individual in the hip-hop space that is synonymous with “reformation”. He endured a period of trials and tribulation, particularly involving drug usage. He began to turn his life to God and went on to proclaim God’s word. Although his battles with drug usage continued, DMX continued to prioritize his faith and use it to spread positivity to his fans all around the world. We continue to pray for him during this time, as well as all others that are experiencing poor health conditions during this pandemic.

Southside (record producer, 808MAFIA) has been in the news this week involving online altercations. Initially it involved Lil Uzi Vert, where Southside had some opinions with the way Lil Uzi Vert was speaking to the mother of his child, Yung Miami of The City Girls (Caresha Brownlee). Shortly after, Southside seemed to undergo a family dispute online between him and his father. Unfortunately things got messy, proving to be another bad example of hashing out family disputes online… (22:00)

From this point forward, I think it's safe to say that rappers should not take elevators… Stairs seem to be a safer bet, and this was evident when footage was released of Quavo and Saweetie in a physical altercation. Luckily nobody was hurt, but it goes to show that relationships may not be all that they are portrayed to be on social media… (31:46)
